The Disappearance of Damien Sharp

The individual known as Damien Sharp, aged 22, was last observed in Warren, Pennsylvania, on the 25th of May in the year 2002. His vanishing act unfolded subsequent to his departure from an acquaintance's residence during the Memorial Day weekend. Damien Mark Sharp, birthed on the 6th of August, 1979, achieved his academic milestone at Warren Area High School in 1998. Post-graduation, he enlisted in the esteemed U.S. Army’s 10th Mountain Division, rendering service in Bosnia.

At the juncture of his disappearance, Sharp had recently returned from Fort Drum in Watertown, New York, to Warren. He was domiciled in an abode cohabited with roommates situated at 19 Cedar Street in Warren, Pennsylvania.

Sharp, an adept practitioner of controlled combat, specifically Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, harbored a profound appreciation for the artistic realms of Pantera, Nine Inch Nails, and Salvador Dali.

Disappearance

A week antecedent to his enigmatic disappearance, Damien Sharp incurred a knee injury at Masterskater, an indoor skate park in Warren, Pennsylvania, where his sibling held employment. This injury necessitated the utilization of aluminum crutches for ambulation.

On the 24th of May, 2002, a gathering ensued at Sharp's residence on Cedar Street, Warren, Pennsylvania.

On the ensuing day, the 25th of May, 2002, Sharp was chauffeured in the morning by a female companion for an elevated journey, typically involving the indulgence in marijuana while traversing, accompanied by a few other comrades.

During the afternoon of that day, Sharp convened with his sibling at Masterskater to deliberate plans for a woodland "keg party," located approximately one mile from the roadside. However, due to his impaired leg, they eventually opted to host the gathering at Sharp's dwelling.

Around 5:00 pm, Sharp was last sighted by an associate after being dropped off at the intersection of Prospect and Dahl Street to rendezvous with another friend residing in apartment 12 at 332 Prospect Street, Warren, Pennsylvania.

As per his comrade's account, Sharp lingered there for approximately an hour before parting ways on the thoroughfare outside the apartment at around 6:00 pm, with intentions to reconvene later at a Memorial Day weekend soirée on Brown Run Road.

Regrettably, Damien Sharp failed to make an appearance at the aforementioned event, and his presence has since remained elusive.

On the 3rd of June, 2002, his family initiated a missing person’s report with the City of Warren Police Department when attempts to establish contact proved futile.

In June of 2002, concerted searches, both on land and water, were executed in wooded areas recognized for camping activities. Regrettably, the outcomes of these searches were never disclosed to the public.

Come March of 2003, authorities reassigned Damien Sharp’s disappearance as a homicide, prompted by suspicious circumstances unveiled during the investigative process. However, the specifics of the evidence supporting this reclassification were never expounded upon by the authorities.

A witness emerged, revealing to the police that Damien had met a tragic end, having been shot and killed by an associate due to a dispute involving missing narcotics. The informant asserted that Damien's remains were concealed in cement, somewhere proximate to Big Ben Overlook in Warren. Despite this disclosure, no individual has faced charges in connection to his mysterious vanishing.

On the 22nd of October, 2008, Damien Sharp was legally declared deceased by a judge in Warren County.
