Two brothers allegedly beat stepfather to death claiming he abused sister

Two Texan siblings fatally subdued their stepfather in response to his maltreatment of their sister. Remarkable Retaliation by Siblings. During a press briefing on Tuesday, Pharr Police Chief Andy Harvey disclosed that Quintanilla had previously faced allegations of persistent sexual abuse of a minor.

"That pertained to an unrelated case that came to our attention in 2019, involving a different individual, another victim," Harvey explained.

Harvey conveyed that the incident transpired between 2014 and 2016, and investigators possessed ample evidence to obtain a warrant against Quintanilla. However, they struggled to locate him.

"At that time, the detectives diligently searched for Quintanilla but were unsuccessful," Harvey recounted. "They combed through his last known residence, making multiple visits to his mother's abode."

"He exhibited elusiveness, evidently evading our pursuit," Harvey remarked. He added that the authorities were pursuing capital murder charges for the adolescents because "Quintanilla was forcibly taken, transported in the back of the F-150, and abandoned at a different location. Subsequently, at the drop-off site, the Trevino brothers appropriated some belongings from Quintanilla."

"Our duty is to build a case and present the facts to the district attorney's office. They will subsequently present the case at a later date," Harvey stated. "The investigation is ongoing, ensuring that we provide additional facts to the district attorney to facilitate the pursuit of whatever charges they deem appropriate."
